# Connect Weasel Den to your AI (setup guide for AI agents)

Machine-readable version of https://www.weaselden.ai/agents/. Source of truth for both is the Weasel Den site content; this file is generated from it on every build.

Weasel Den (Weasel LLC) is the agentic marketplace: vetted consumer apps that run on their own websites and inside ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and Muse through one connector. Today the connector carries Receipt Weasel. Weasel Estates uses its own built-in assistant inside the organizer and is not in the connector. More: https://www.weaselden.ai/llms.txt

## Connection facts

Verified against the live public metadata on 2026-09-29.

- MCP endpoint: https://mcp.weaselden.ai/mcp (transport: streamable-http; POST only, GET answers 405)
- Protected resource metadata: https://mcp.weaselden.ai/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource
- Authorization server: https://mcp.weaselden.ai (metadata at https://mcp.weaselden.ai/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server)
- Authorization endpoint: https://mcp.weaselden.ai/oauth/authorize
- Token endpoint: https://mcp.weaselden.ai/oauth/token
- Dynamic client registration: https://mcp.weaselden.ai/oauth/register
- Grants: authorization_code with PKCE (S256) and refresh_token. Public clients may use token endpoint auth "none". Client ID metadata documents are also accepted.
- An unauthenticated request to the endpoint returns 401 with a WWW-Authenticate header pointing at the protected resource metadata, so a compliant client discovers sign-in on its own.
- OAuth, discovered automatically; no API key or client id to paste. Nothing is pasted except the endpoint address.
- Connector metadata: https://www.weaselden.ai/.well-known/mcp.json

## If you are an assistant connecting yourself

1. Add https://mcp.weaselden.ai/mcp as a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP).
2. Follow the OAuth discovery above. Register a client dynamically if your platform has no pre-issued client, then start the authorization code flow with PKCE.
3. The person signs in with their Den account in the browser window you open and approves the access. If your platform needs the redirect pasted back, ask the person for the address they landed on after sign-in.
4. Confirm with a read-only call: `list_receipts` (the person can ask "Show me my saved receipts."). An empty list is a success: it came from the signed-in account. `weaselden_home` also works and returns the den apps plus membership state.
5. Never verify with a tool that writes. Do not call `submit_receipt`, `submit_receipt_details`, `confirm_receipt`, `set_line_item_product`, `track_items`, `link_weasel_estates` unless the person asked for that action.

## Read-only tools

- `weaselden_home`: See the available Den apps and your next step.
- `get_started`: Read the setup steps for Receipt Weasel and your Den account.
- `list_receipts`: See the receipts already saved to your account.
- `get_receipt`: See a saved receipt and its line items.
- `check_price_drops`: Read your tracked items, current price-drop findings, and adjustment opportunities.

### ChatGPT

Method: directory listing, one tap.
Listing: https://chatgpt.com/plugins/plugin_asdk_app_6aa4383e31188191aa3945ac7b9c5c79?search=weasel
Status: live. Founder-verified 2026-09-29. Plugin approved and confirmed live on chatgpt.com by the founder.

Before you start:
- A ChatGPT account, signed in in the browser you are using.
- A Den account, or a minute to create one during sign-in. The trial starts on first use, with no card up front.

Steps, in order:
1. Open the Weasel Den plugin page in ChatGPT.
2. Choose Connect. ChatGPT sends you to Weasel Den to sign in.
3. Sign in or create your Den account, then approve the access. You land back in ChatGPT.
4. Start a new chat with Weasel Den turned on and ask it something.

Sign-in: ChatGPT opens the Weasel Den sign-in page. You sign in with your Den account, the same one Receipt Weasel uses, approve what Weasel Den may do for you, and return to ChatGPT. Weasel Den never sees your ChatGPT password, and ChatGPT never sees your Den password.

Check it worked: ask "Show me my saved receipts." (read-only tool `list_receipts`). Weasel Den answers with the receipts saved to your Den account, as a card or as text. No receipts yet? Then it says so. An empty list still proves the connection and the sign-in worked, because that answer came from your account.

Troubleshooting:
- The plugin page opens, but there is nothing to connect. Sign in to ChatGPT in this browser first, then open the plugin page again.
- Sign-in never finishes, or ends on an error. Finish the sign-in in the tab ChatGPT opened, without closing it. If it fails again, disconnect Weasel Den in ChatGPT and connect once more from the plugin page.
- Weasel Den says you are not signed in when you ask. Connections are per account. Reconnect from the plugin page, complete the sign-in step, then ask again in a new chat.

Then try asking:
- "Here is my receipt. Watch the prices for me."
- "Have any of my tracked items dropped in price?"
- "What is in Weasel Den?"

### Claude

Method: directory listing, one tap.
Listing: https://claude.ai/directory/connectors/weasel-den
Status: live. Founder-verified 2026-09-10. One-click Connect verified by the founder on a personal claude.ai account. A read-only call through the same connector from a Claude client succeeded during this build on 2026-09-29.

Before you start:
- A personal Claude account, signed in on claude.ai. On a work account, an administrator may control which connectors can be added.
- A Den account, or a minute to create one during sign-in. The trial starts on first use, with no card up front.

Steps, in order:
1. Open the Weasel Den listing in the Claude connector directory.
2. Choose Connect. Claude sends you to Weasel Den to sign in.
3. Sign in or create your Den account, then approve the access. You land back in Claude.
4. In a new chat, make sure Weasel Den is turned on in the tools menu, then ask.

Sign-in: Claude opens the Weasel Den sign-in page. You sign in with your Den account, the same one Receipt Weasel uses, approve what Weasel Den may do for you, and return to Claude. Weasel Den never sees your Claude password, and Claude never sees your Den password.

- The listing shows no Connect button. Sign in to claude.ai first. On a work account, ask your administrator to allow the Weasel Den connector.
- Weasel Den is connected, but Claude does not use it. Open the tools menu in the chat and turn Weasel Den on for that conversation, then ask again.
- Weasel Den says you are not signed in. In Claude’s connector settings, disconnect Weasel Den, then connect again from the directory listing and complete the sign-in step.

Then try asking:
- "Here is my receipt. Watch the prices for me."
- "Have any of my tracked items dropped in price?"
- "What is in Weasel Den?"

### Grok

Method: the person adds the endpoint as a custom connector in the assistant’s settings (a chat prompt did not connect as of 2026-09-30).
Status: live. Founder-verified 2026-09-11. Custom connector connected and both Weasel Den cards rendered, verified by the founder on grok.com. A chat setup prompt was tried on 2026-09-30 and did not connect, so the connector path is the way in.

Before you start:
- Grok on grok.com, signed in on a computer.
- A Den account, or a minute to create one during sign-in. The trial starts on first use, with no card up front.

Steps, in order:
1. On grok.com, open Connectors and choose New connector, then Custom.
2. Paste the Weasel Den address: https://mcp.weaselden.ai/mcp. There is no API key or client id to enter.
3. Sign in with your Den account when Grok sends you to Weasel Den, then approve the access.
4. Back in Grok, start a chat with the Weasel Den connector enabled and ask it something.

Sign-in: Grok sends you to the Weasel Den sign-in page. You sign in with your Den account and approve the access. Grok discovers the sign-in on its own from the connector address, so nothing else needs to be typed.

- Grok asks for an API key or a client id. Leave them blank. Weasel Den uses sign-in with your Den account, discovered automatically from the address.
- Sign-in does not come back to Grok. Complete the sign-in in the tab Grok opened, on a computer rather than a phone. If Grok still shows the connector as disconnected, remove it and add it again.

Then try asking:
- "Here is my receipt. Watch the prices for me."
- "Have any of my tracked items dropped in price?"
- "What is in Weasel Den?"

### Muse

Method: paste the setup prompt and the assistant connects itself.
Status: live. Founder-verified 2026-09-30. The setup prompt above was run by the founder on 2026-09-30: Muse registered itself, opened the sign-in, and connected. The connector path was first verified on 2026-09-12.

Setup prompt (paste into a new chat). Status: verified:

```
Connect Weasel Den as an MCP server: https://mcp.weaselden.ai/mcp, Streamable HTTP. Register yourself with its authorization server automatically (it supports dynamic client registration and PKCE; there is no API key or client id), then open the sign-in so I can log in with my Den account. If you need me to paste back the address I land on after sign-in, tell me. When you are connected, show me my saved receipts.
```

Before you start:
- Muse on a computer, not a phone. The sign-in asks you to paste an address back.
- A Den account, or a minute to create one during sign-in. The trial starts on first use, with no card up front.

Connector path, if adding it by hand:
1. Where Muse accepts an MCP server, add the Weasel Den address: https://mcp.weaselden.ai/mcp. Muse can also find it on its own from weaselden.ai/llms.txt.
2. Sign in with your Den account when Muse opens the Weasel Den sign-in page, then approve the access.
3. When Muse asks, paste the address of the page you landed on after sign-in back into Muse. That completes the connection.
4. Ask Muse something Receipt Weasel can do.

Sign-in: Muse registers itself with Weasel Den automatically and opens the sign-in page. After you sign in and approve, Muse needs the address you landed on pasted back to finish. No API key or client id is involved.

- Muse never asks for the address, or the sign-in stalls. Use a computer. Copy the full address of the page you land on after signing in and paste it into Muse when it asks.
- Muse cannot find the server. Give it the exact address https://mcp.weaselden.ai/mcp, not the website address.

Then try asking:
- "Here is my receipt. Watch the prices for me."
- "Have any of my tracked items dropped in price?"
- "What is in Weasel Den?"
